On Saturday May 20th, we are excited to announce a special Mindful Mass meditation inside the Vancouver Art Gallery!
Join Carolyn Anne Budgell for 30 minutes of quiet and stillness in the Rotunda of the VAG (with two straircases for sitting — no props needed!).
The doors will open at 8:45 am and the meditation begins at 9am sharp. We will be exiting at 9:45am, so that the gallery can open its doors to the public for 10am.
The Mindful Mass is slowly and calmly growing and we couldn't be more thrilled to have the support of all our family and friends as well as the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Carolyn Anne Budgell (BA, Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) finally committed to meditation after years of teaching yoga because it changed (still changing) her life above all other endeavours: it cleared her unhealthy behaviors and all of her relationships. In meditation, she couldn’t hide behind drugs, or being a know-it-all and she had to get real with how she wanted to act in the world. A tough road towards softness, but incredibly worthy of practice.
Carolyn has been leading meditation since 2010 in all types of settings: one-on-one, intimate groups, on international retreats, at the Wanderlust festivals and in the corporate world. She has studied with teachers from the schools of Tibetan Buddhism and Zen, notably Adyashanti and Reggie Ray. You can find audio meditations with Carolyn on various websites: Mala Collective, lululemon, Insight Timer, MOMENT and Tuja Wellness.
Carolyn guides her workshops and retreats in a simple and accessible language. Carolyn firmly believes that meditation is not just about being still and silent, but also about a willingness to look within, accept the situation and then work to create change. In this way, every aspect of life becomes a meditation.
