Touring from Eastern Canada, Ewan Macintyre Band bring old school Scottish flavour to a contemporary Candian folk sound, for a beautifully heart warming and delightfully entertaining show. Rooted in the storytelling folk genre, Ewan infuses his music with layers of swing, celtic, bluegrass, jazz-soul, blues, pop and soundscape.
Cassidy Waring is an Alberta raised songwriter who now calls Vancouver home. She performs with her electric autoharp — an impulse purchase that was love at first strum. Cassidy combines powerful vocals with haunting strums of the autoharp to create her folk inspired music. The intimacy of her lyrics and heartfelt performance are what draw people in.
Marina Lagacé writes songs about flowers, sunshine, storms and dying. Her unabashed love for folk music, and her unique background of theatre, clown and classical voice is spun together to create a psyche folk wonder garden. Her band the Specks, is a musically eloquent assortment of be-spectacled gentlemen doing fancy things with strings.
