A FREE, family-friendly event to celebrate the multiculturalism of the West Coast fishing industry and the opening of our new feature exhibit, «The Pull of the Net: Commercial Fishing in Canada”.

Highlights of the event include performances starting at every hour (lion dancers, traditional Salish song and dance, Japanese taiko drummers, Canadian maritime music, and Scottish bagpiping), a community weaving project, guided tours, cultural workshops, demonstrations and displays, short films, and food tastings representing the many cultures from our community.

...and don't miss the Japanese Tall Ship Kaiwo Maru, which will be docked for public viewing just a few minutes' walk away at Garry Point Park in Steveston!
