We will be adding a live music component to the Adv Beg and Intermediate classes. What an amazing experience, to tap dance that way it was originally intended — WITH LIVE MUSIC!

INTRO TO TAP: Brand new tappers! It’s never too late to start
BEGINNER 1: dancers with 1+ years of weekly tap training
ADVANCED BEG 3: dancers with 4+ years of weekly tap training
INTERMEDIATE: dancers with 6+ years of weekly tap training

Intro & Beginner 1 classes are 1 hour each day
Adv Beginner & Intermediate are 1 hour 15 minutes w/live music accompaniment

JENNIFER BISHOP (Intro & Beginner 1)
Jennifer has been teaching dance for over 25 years now and loves every minute of it. She has extensive credits in theatre, film & TV as both a choreographer and performer. You may have caught her in West Side StorySingin' In the Rain, or CabaretGuys & Dolls at The Arts Club Theatre or and The Music Man at The Vancouver Playhouse. Her diversity as an artist took her across North America as percussionist/dancer with company Rhythmatix and to Taiwan as a singer with pop band Culture Shock. She has been a favourite of tap students at Harbour Dance CentreThe West Coast Tap Dance Collective for over 20 years now. Jennifer founded and this year took on role of Vice President. In 2007, she founded The Rhythm Room and she is so happy that it continues to attract such fantastic people.

SUSAN NASE (Adv Beginner & Intermediate)
Susan is a tap dancer, singer, and Scottish highland dancer born and raised in Saskatoon SK. After a brief career as a chemical engineer in Calgary AB, Susan took her artistic talents to New York City in 2008 where she was selected to perform with 7 other world-class tap dancers in the US tour of «Thank You Gregory! A Tribute to the Legends of Tap» featuring Maurice Hines. During her 4-year stay in NYC she had the pleasure to perform with some of the city’s top choreographers, including 2015 MacAurthur Fellow Michelle Dorrance, Max Pollak and his troupe Rumba Tap, and fellow Canadian Lisa LaTouche. Susan has traveled to international festivals in the France, Spain, Turkey, Italy, USA, Brazil and Greece to perform and study tap, world and body music. As an arts educator, Susan has presented many master dance and music workshops across Canada and the US. Susan currently resides, teaches and performs in Vancouver, Canada.

Susan is the recipient of West Coast Tap's professional development scholarship for 2017
