Gold Saucer Studio
211 - 207 W Hastings St., Vancouver, British Columbia 12345
Where does the voice come from? I can't see it but I can sense it.
The voice comes from breath. The breath is the most intimate part of the body.
Breath and voice come from silence, and shape air and time.
The voice and the body are necessary for comunicating. Voice and movement are connected as it can be a sounding gesture of the body
The workshop focuses on:
— breathing techniques
— how to sustain breath and let it become voice
— active listening of your own and other's voices
— active listening of space's harmonics
— sound walks
— vocal techniques and exploration of new sounds
— improvisation in solo, duo, and groups
Each participant is asked to bring a small poem, a sentence, some little songs or even invented words which will be used during the workshop.
