Enjoy yoga, under the trees! Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that focuses on stimulating the connective tissues of the body with the intention of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Suitable for beginners or students seeking a slower, more meditative practice. Bring a yoga mat, any props you may like to use, and extra layers for cooler weather. In case of rain, class will take place indoors. Meet in the Visitor Centre Entrance Hall 10 minutes early.

Multipasses can be used for any of our yoga and fitness classes and expire one year after first use.
About the instructor: Cristina Freire
Cristina has been instructing yoga indoors and outdoors at VanDusen Botanical Garden for the past 5 years and she has been a dedicated yoga practitioner for 8 years. Her training is in somatically based and mindfulness practices and this is reflected in her slow class style where students are given the time and space to work kindly with their own individual bodies, breath and mind.
