We have all been touched by grief, whether it is the loss of a partner, parent, child, a dear pet or friend. Perhaps our loss has been a career, our health or a dream. Grief is a natural reaction to loss and grieving is essential in our healing from loss. During this painful period we may shut down, lose our joy, and disconnect with the small pleasures in life. In this time creativity can be a healing journey, allowing us to express our loss and our love, helping us transcend our grief for even brief moments, and creating small portals to joy. Join us for a workshop time where we connect and work with the creative process to honour both our grief, and those or what we have lost.
During our time together we will use elements of ritual and sharing to connect with ourselves in a safe, gentle space. We will then create a small beaded sun catcher, meditating on and commemorating our loved ones and/or ourselves as we do. The sun catcher can be hung where it will create a small patch of beauty, reminding us of the love we have for what we have lost, and the joy that still awaits us along our path of healing.
All materials will be provided as well as tea and seasonal snacks. You are encouraged to bring any additional meaningful items to add to your Sun Catcher, but it’s not necessary.
Registration is required. To register email Jill at [email protected]
