Bard on the Beach at Vanier Park
1695 Whyte Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia V6J 1B1
Join your GSS at Bard on the Beach in this present-day Venice edition of The Merchant of Venice. Shakespeare’s classic study of power and prejudice, set in today’s world, exposes the consequences of how we choose to treat the ‘others’ in our midst.
Celebrating its 28th Season in 2017, Bard on the Beach is Western Canada’s largest not-for-profit, professional Shakespeare Festival. Presented in a magnificent setting on the waterfront in Vancouver’s Vanier Park, the Festival offers Shakespeare plays, related dramas, and several special events in two performance tents from June through September.
With a special rate for graduate students, this is your chance to experience some of Vancouver’s finest and unique theatre offerings.
