This event will take place on the traditional lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish) nations; territories that were never ceded. «Canada» is a country built on violent colonialism, and for all settlers, we must keep this in our minds and hearts and tread lightly here as we work to decolonize our thoughts and actions.
Hey, all! We are back with another plant-powered potluck to celebrate good food and friends in the summer sunshine. I can't wait to see all your faces. xo
GUIDELINES — - Don't leave a mess behind: clean up after yourself so I don't have to. :)
— Don't bring storebought items in non-reusable packaging. There are often unopened bags of that kinda stuff at the end of the event because we have too much other food! If you don't have time to make something: bring a bunch of fruit.
— Bring a VEGAN dish (no honey, honey!) that will serve ~8 people, ideally with a label so people can see ingredients.
— Bring your own plate, cutlery and glass as well as a serving utensil for your dish.
— Bring a blanket to sit on, if you like.
— Bigoted language / behaviour will not be tolerated. If you feel uncomfortable about ANY thing or have any suggesstions for me, please message.
OTHER INFO — - There are wheelchair accessible toilets close to us; unfortunately they're binary-gendered. >:/
— There is a water fountain close by, and shaded areas.
— If anyone wants to help me set up, please message. I would love some extra tables. If anyone drives, that'd be great.
