This class offers a great overview on how to plan your fall plantings, as well as which garden preparations are best done before winter arrives.

Join VanDusen Gardener Casey for a look at a variety of plants to get into the ground at this time, including trees and shrubs, and best practices for winterizing your garden including perennial division, mulching and bed preparations to enhance soil nutrients during the cold and wet season. Class includes a walk in the Garden with demonstration of planting techniques.

About the Instructor:
Casey Werfl is a head gardener at VanDusen Botanical Garden, currently in his tenth year with over 15 years of experience in the industry. He holds a Horticulture Certificate from Capilano College and is a certified Journeyman Landscape Horticulturalist. Casey enjoys teaching foundational methods in an interactive workshop setting, aiming to inspire those who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in the gardening world.
