WAVAW Rape Crisis Centre works to end all forms of violence against women. Guided by our feminist anti-oppression philosophy we challenge and change thinking, actions, and systems that contribute to violence against women. We provide all women who have experienced any form of sexualized violence with support and healing, and engage with youth to develop leadership for prevention of future violence. wavaw.ca/
The Eastside Flea is held on the unceded and ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and mi ce:p kʷətxʷiləm (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. As we host events, we acknowledge the historical and ongoing colonial genocide against Indigenous peoples, as it is their lands that make it possible for us to be here as occupiers.
The Ellis Building
Built in 1907, the Ellis Building is a 10,000 sq ft historic gem in East Vancouver. Thanks to Ezra Kish & Morgan Ellis (The Cobalt & The Boxcar) this amazing space has been transformed into one of the most unique arts & culture venues in the city. Not only is it the new home to the ESF, but 14 artist studios, community workshops & demos, and much more!!! We couldnt have asked for a better spot to call home and host our markets!
