Join master weaver Jessica Silvey for a one-day wool weaving workshop and learn about the cultural significance and history of Coast Salish weaving. Guided by Silvey, participants will practice the traditional weaving techniques of the twill and the twine and take home the wall hanging they create. Jessica is a self-taught weaver of Coast Salish and Portugese descent of the Silvey family in Egmont, BC. The workshop is organized in conjunction with our newest exhibit, The Fabric of Our Land: Salish Weaving.
