Speaking of Dance — Creative Arts Therapies: Art & Health Care

The March 2018 Speaking of Dance Conversation will explore the theme of Creative Arts Therapies in advance of DanceHouse's presentation of Kidd Pivot and Electric Company Theater's acclaimed work Betroffenheit, March 14 – 17, 2018, at the Vancouver Playhouse.
The conversation will be moderated by Peta Schur, Co-founder of the Expressive Arts Therapy training program at Langara, and will feature:
• David MacMurray Smith, Founder/RingMaster, Fantastic Space Enterprises
• Sam Svensk, Expressive Arts Therapist
• Tannis Hugill, Clinical Counsellor, Registered Drama Therapist, Dance-movement Therapist & Spiritual Director.
Co-presented by DanceHouse and SFU Woodward’s Cultural Programs, with the support of SFU School for the Contemporary Arts, Speaking of Dance Conversations is a series of free public dialogues and roundtable conversations about the world of dance, contextualizing it within culture and society. Presented by noted writers, choreographers and creative thinkers, Speaking of Dance is a platform for everyone to share and develop their observation and interpretation of dance.
ASL interpretation will be available for this event.
The event venue, The World Art Centre, is accessible to people using mobility aids, it includes wide and flat entrances, as well as access to ramps/elevators and it's near wheelchair and scooter accessible washrooms.
