Pride Week Welcoming Ceremony
12:30pm • Kéxwusm-áyakn Student Centre (Library 196)
Stewart Gonzales, Squamish Nation Two-Spirit Elder, will be welcoming us to Pride Week.
LGBTQAI2S+ Basics Workshop
1:00pm-2:30pm • Library 321
Kick off Pride Week at Capilano with a LGBTQAI2S+ basics workshop centered on giving basic information on the LGBTQAI2S+ community and advocacy. Hosted by Qmunity, an organization focused on improving queer, trans, and Two-Spirit lives through services, connection and leadership. Muffins and coffee will be provided.
Trans issues on campus with Adrienne Smith
11:30am • Bosa Theatre
Come down to the Bosa theater and have a chance to meet our keynote speaker Adrienne Smith, human rights activist and BC NDP’s pride ambassador. The event will provide a safe space for people to listen and share on issues in the trans community.

Centre (Library 190B)
The clothing swap will provide students with the opportunity to exchange a variety of gently used clothing items suitable for a range of identities and styles. Drop off your items in the CSU Members Centre. This drop-in event suitable for everyone to participate in at their leisure.
Community Art Project
12:00pm-3:00pm • Library hallway
Have the chance to make your mark this week with a communal art project. Drop in and use the already provided art supplies to help create something beautiful.
Queer Film Festival
3:30pm-6:30pm • CSU Members Centre
Come out and watch queer-themed short films, including Human Rules, and discuss the film with its creator Jeff Berg and then join us for a film screening to follow the discussion.
Safer Sex Workshop
4:00pm-5:15pm • CSU Maple Lounge
The topic of safe queer sex might pose a intimidating and confusing task. Come listen to Jenn Matsui De Roo learn about important issues like how to communicate and handle safe queer sex.
Exploring Kinks Workshop
5:30pm-7:00pm • CSU Maple Lounge
BDSM. Leather. Kink. S&M. Power play. What does it mean to you? In this workshop hosted by Jenn Matsui De Roo, we’ll explore what kink can look like for queer and trans people, and how you can engage in safer kinky play.
Queers in Academia
1:00-2:00pm • CSU Maple Lounge
Come and listen to LJ Slovin and Nathan Roberson host a lecture on gender nonconforming youth and their relationships to schooling, and the integration of sexual orientation and gender identity into the school system.
7pm • CSU Maple Lounge
End Pride Week with a slumber party held in the Maple Lounge! Free pizza!
