This is an hands-on workshop in collaboration with Luppolo Brewing Co. on one of our favorites: beer! The workshop will focus on the brewing process from start to finish on a small system that you can replicate at home. The workshop is ideal for beginners or extract home-brewers looking to make the switch to all-grain brews. The class will cover an overview of the stages and process of brewing, ingredients, and how to create your own home-brew set up. There will also be a guided tasting and handouts to take with you. Participants will be able to pick up a sample bottle of the beer they brewed during the course approximately a month later.
Ticket sales to this event end 1 day prior to the event.
There will be a lunch break during the workshop, please bring your own lunch (not many food options in the area).
Ryan Parfitt is the Head Brewer and one of the owners of Luppolo Brewing Company based in East Vancouver. Before making the leap to professional brewing, Ryan was an avid home-brewer for 10 years before founding Luppolo in 2016. Prior to opening Luppolo, Ryan owned his own business working as a mechanic and contractor. These skills have served him well in not only leading construction and renovation of Luppolo, but also in designing and maintaining many elements of the brewhouse and systems himself. Brewing has become his passion and Ryan is constantly experimenting and learning more about various elements of beer and how it is made. He is always happy to share his knowledge and discuss anything related to his favorite beverage, beer.
