Radical Inclusion – How does it impact our brains/bodies, communities, faith?
June 7 @ 7:30 pm — 9:30 pm — $30 — $45
If we were to ask people in the city of Vancouver whether today’s Christian church is a place of inclusion, many would likely say no. “Western” faith communities are grappling with how to move beyond the stereotype of a stuffy environment, lacking in diversity. If we truly desire to make the church a place where all are welcome, what needs to change? What does it look like to be radically inclusive, and how will this impact us as individuals and communities? Join St. James’ Anglican Church as we invite two hosts of The Liturgist Podcast, “Science Mike” McHargue and Hillary McBride, t...o explore this topic with us. Come expecting to tackle hard questions and have your fill of nerdy answers.
A note on ticket prices:
You will notice that we have two levels of ticket prices available for purchase. We want event-goers to know that this is a not-for-profit event and ticket costs were kept as low as possible so that the event would not be out of reach for lower-income attendees. However, we completely understand that $30 still may not be doable for some, so if cost is a barrier for you, please contact Jessica Dueck at [email protected]
for accommodations. If income/cost is not a barrier for you and you’d like to subsidize the ticket cost of a lower-income attendee, please select the $45 ticket option. Thanks for your support. We believe removing cost barriers is a critical part of an inclusive event.
