Vancouver College invites all alumni on Saturday, June 23, for a final tour of Lannon, McCormack, Mackin and Nichol Halls. Due to seismic concerns, these heritage buildings will be brought down in the fall to make room for our new Elementary School.
We invite all alumni to visit their old stomping ground and say good bye to a portion of the school that has stood since its founding. Together with the Advancement Office, we are organizing a special barbecue for alumni on Saturday, June 23. The redevelopment plan calls for the demolition of the old school (while preserving the Lannon Wall facade) in the fall. Come and see Vancouver College in its original form one last time!
This event offers alumni and their families from all decades an opportunity to reminisce and celebrate a special brotherhood shared among VC alumni. We also pay tribute to veteran teacher, Ten Hon Choo, who retires after 42 years of exemplary service to VC and countless grads.
To commemorate VC grads, the Vancouver College Alumni Association, in cooperation with the Advancement Office, will launch a campaign for alumni only with special recognition in the VC Alumni Corridor between the original Lannon Hall façade and the new main entrance to the school. This is our way of honouring the legacy of its 8,000 alumni who will be remembered by students and families today and in the future.
Please join us ~RSVP by June 15. Walk down memory lane and share with us your stories of Vancouver College.
