Ever wanted to learn how to make your own jewelry?
You’re in luck! Local queer jewelry maker, Adrienne Yeung, owner of Hex Metals & Minerals will be joining us at Mpowerment Wednesday 13th June for a jewelry making workshop. We’ll get to take home our projects for FREE!
Space is limited so RSVP here to save your spot soon:
Adrienne Yeung (she/her) is the jewellery designer behind HEX Metals & Minerals
, a line that features minimalist arrangements of rough crystals and raw brass. Completely self-taught, Adrienne decided in 2014 to take her childhood love of design to a professional context. As a queer artist of colour, it is central to her work to partner with queer, feminist small community businesses to highlight the existence (and great style) of queer people of colour. Adrienne's line HEX Metals & Minerals is made with love on the unceded Coast Salish territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh nations, and you can find her work online at hexmetalsminerals.com
and on instagram @hexmetalsminerals.
Mpowerment is a trans-inclusive and gender-affirming program by and for young men and gender diverse folks who are gay, bi, Two-Spirit, or queer to hangout and learn more about ourselves and each other. We work to create safer spaces for all youth including those of us living with HIV.
This event will be taking place on the unceded and occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Tsleil-Waututh nations.
Our space is located on the second floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. We have two all gender washrooms, one of which is a large accessible washroom.
This event is FREE and open to youth ages 19-29 years old.
If your needs to access this event are not mentioned above, please contact Ivan @ [email protected]
