The Vashaan Music Society presents the Honari Family’s homage to the music of the Iranian province of Sistan & Baluchistan. This concert is inspired by the travels of filmmaker and musician, Reza Honari, into the heart of this region where he discovered and documented many unheard masterpieces of this genre. Sistani & Baluchi music can be described as hauntingly beautiful and joyful. Fathieh and Reza Honari grew up in Baluchistan and shared many collaborations with great masters of this music throughout their lives and devout much of their time to preserving this rare and beautiful art form.
