Join us for Cosmic Nights: OSIRIS-REx as we delve into asteroids, comets and other solar system wanderers!

OSIRIS-REx is a mapping and sample return mission to the asteroid Bennu. After a two year journey the OSIRIS-REx probe is scheduled to arrive at Bennu on August 17th. The probe will map the asteroid and collect a sample before returning to Earth. The sample will be used to determine chemical properties of the asteroid and provide new information about the early history of our solar system.

Learn about the OSIRIS-REx mission first-hand from planetary geophysicist Dr. Catherine Johnson. She will be joining us to discuss her work on the mission and mapping asteroid Bennu.

Cosmic Nights is a themed party featuring a custom planetarium show, music, drinks, science demonstrations, games, and a special guest lecturer. Experience the Space Centre after hours in a 19+ environment!
